More summery stuff

I have a feeling it's gonna be a few more posts like this - with summery LO's. I hope you Swedes are Ok with that in your wintery life over there!!!

:)

First, my February LO to our kitchen calendar. Just love that photo... :) Also loving the Hambly rub-on birdies!!

February

(sommar = summer)

Then my take on the Friday Night Challenge over at
SE. The challenge was to use the colour combo blue/orange or pink/orange (and other colours of your choice), the title "summer days" and stickers over a year old... I used a very colourful overlay for this one, so the photo is not too good. My sticker is on the right hand corner under the butterfly...

:)

Summer days

And last but not least, my take on this weeks sketch @ Veckans Skiss! The title reads "One can't always be happy".

inte glad

Thanks for looking, and thanks for all your lovely comments!!!!!

It's definitely summer...

It's reeeeeeally hot where I live... Trust me, I'm not complaining, but it's hot. HOT...

:)

I have been doing some scrapping lately, but hardly anything I can share. The theme seem to be the same though - summer! :) The LO below is for the fortnightly sketch challenge over at Scrapbook Essentials. For once I tried to be VERY strict with the sketch, and I'm pretty happy with the result.

the Kiwi life

It's going to be interesting to fit this page in the album... Oh the problems of a scrabooker... :)

Happy Weekend everyone!

My grandparents

While blog surfing I discovered that my LO was one of the chosen to be "published" - yet again - on the swescrapbook blog. Yay! :) The LO is about my grandparents, 84 years old. :) Another LO for my BoM!

Farmor & farfar

I'm working on a couple of projects that I can't show you yet... A mini-album that's gonna be a gift, a couple of challenge LO's and possibly my first try for a submission. Will see what happens...

Thanks for stopping by!

Jamie Waters

Yesterday I attended a FABULOUS class with Jamie Waters. It was SO hot in the class room, but I had SO much fun! Managed to finish ALMOST three LO's in two hours, had to do the finish on the third one when I got back home.

As you can see, the style is quite different from what I would normally do, so this was VERY inspiring for me! I also won a book called "Designing with details" from Autumn Leaves where Jamie is part of the DT, and I can tell that's gonna push me in new directions. Very cool!!!

Back to the sun and paddlepool now, se ya later!

My angel

After getting  monthly kits from a couple of NZ companies, I decided to try something else, and found "My Scrapbook Nook". Amazingly enough it took only 3 days for the stuff to get here! The LO below is made by hte yummy stuff from the January kit, I also made a birthday card and have some more LO's sitting on my desk, half done!

My angel

The journalling on this one is actually a qoute from the Jimi Hendrix song "Angel".

This is the birthday card.

My ACTUAL first LO of the year was for a challenge over at Scrapaddicted. The challenge was to use the colours soft pink, bright pink, orange and brown.

image398

That's all for now. Have a few LO's unfinished that I'll show you in a couple of days! 'til then!

My girls

I've had a photo in my "I-want-to-scrap-this-photo-sometime-stack" for a long time, and tonight I found a perfect challenge!!! It's the blog Music makes the people come together, and the latest challenge that isnpired me. THe photo is from 2000. Us four girls went to high school together, and this photo was taken on our 10 year reunion! Aren't we gorgeous...

:)

CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!!!

Please email me on annelie.maddock[at]gmail.com with your physical address so that I can send the stamp asap. Wouldn't it be nice to have them in time to make valentine's day cards for example??

I've also tried to create today... I think it might be too hot outside, 'cause the LO came out pretty boring... It's for a challenge over at
SE to scrap your new year's resolutions. I'd like to think as mine as more of a goal...

2008 goals

I'm liking my new toy - the cricut though...

'til next time, thanks for stopping by!

Been croppin'

I'm really tired, but thought I'd share with you the stuff I managed to finish on my 8 hr crop today. I was very un-inspired, but managed to finish one LO, and start another... :) Here is the finished one - about "today", a normal day in my life...

today

Also made two Valentine's Day cards. One in Swedish and one in English. Sorry about the bad photos, but it's kinda late and I can't be bothered...

:)

Have been browsing a little bit (as you do) since I got home and discovered that one of my LO's have been chosen for a scraplift challenge here: Scrapinspiration. How cool is that????? Go on - scraplift me!!!

:)

Well, it's time to hit the sack. Tomorrow I will draw the winners of my four stamps, there's still time to leave a comment a few posts down!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

First LO in 2008

First - happy first wedding anniversary to me and my lovely man. Can't wait to celebrate!!!

:)

I've been doing some sporadic scrapping the last few days, the weather have been so beautiful so I have been easily sidetracked... My first LO for the year is for a competition, so can't show it here yet. My SECOND LO though, I can show you right now!

All because of you

Got some hidden journalling in the left corner - a love letter to my gorgeous daughter!

Christmas Cyber Crop - 3

In the last shivering hours of 2007, I've completed two more LO's for Peterlina's Christmas crop. There's no better way to finish of the year - is it???

:)

This Lo is for the 6x12 sketch challenge, but as you can see it's a 12x12 LO. I haven't tried the 6x12 format yet. I will - some day!!!

puss

"puss" means "kiss" as you can probably guess!!! Tova's cousin who is one year older than her was quite rough with her on Christmas day, but he said "sowwy" and gave her a big hug and a wet kiss, and he was forgiven!!! The gorgeous butterflies and journalling boxes are Peterlina's own design. Check out her shop if you haven't already!

The next LO is for her challenge to be inspired by a magazine ad. I found it hard, and am not sure about the result.

flowers

The whole idea with this LO is kind of a "note to self" - "Remember to stop and smell the flowers". I do forget that...

On that note - happy new year everyone, thanks for stopping by! Remember to leave a comment in (two posts down) to have a chance to win a cute stamp!

Christmas Cyber Crop - 2

Well - while Tova had a nap this afternoon I managed to finish another LO for Peterlina's Christmas crop. This is for her Scrap lift challenge. I really like this photo of me, but I'd rather not think about that time in my life... That's why this LO has no journalling. The title says "midday sun". It's rare to see the sun during the day up in the far north of Sweden, but this was a beautiful day, and we got to see the sun for a few minutes. Another LO for my BoM.

image388

You haven't forgot to put a comment in my last post have you? You have a chance to win a cute heart stamp!!!

Christmas Cyber Crop

It has been slooooooow on the scrapping side of things for a few days. The husband have had almost no time off, so I've been busy making the days as fun as possible for Tova. We've been to lots of playgrounds, visiting friends and her cousins, and just enjoying the sun. You can tell she's missing time with daddy though. Hopefully he'll have some time off in the new year.

A very talented Swedish lady -
PETERLINA - is having a Christmas Crop on her blog, and I've managed to do two of her challenges. This is for the 12X12 sketch challenge:

Fairy

And this is for the card challenge:

Kort 94

(Saknadskram means "missing you-hug")

I'm hoping to do a couple more of her challenges before the deadline on the 1st of January!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that Christmas is over I can show you what some of my family members got in their presents from me. My mum, and my mother in law got a 2008 calendar each, with photos of family members in them. I made the pages very simple, as there were 24 to make!!!  Here are a couple:

M-September
M-April
S-March

I also made some pages for my sister in law, I'll show you a couple of them:

Troy & Tova
Hayley & Tova

I've also started to make a calendar for our family, but decided to do one month at a time, with a recent photo of Tova on each month. So here's January:

January

Have made one lousy birthday card...

Kort 95

I also made my first bottle card, that I put on a bottle for my friend Megan - but I forgot to take a picture of it!!! Silly me!!!

:)

Hopefully I'll be making more cards made soon, 'cause I won the first monthly stamp club package over at Magnolia!  How cool is that!?!?!?

So - because of my win I've decided to "RAK" some of my stamps that I've hardly used to those of you that read my blog. I've got four hearts from the Australian (I think!?!) company Stampin' Up. Leave a comment in this post before January the 6th and I'll randomly pick four winners! (Yes - Swedes are allowed!!)

image385

Get those comments in!!!

Might not get another post in before the new year, so will take the opportunity to wish you alla very HAPPY and CREATIVE 2008!!! Thank you for all the inspiration you have given me on your blogs and forums!

//Annelie

Happy

Today I dropped Tova off at nana's. Going to "Bjorn Again" tonight! Looking forward to it. While she's away I've managed to finish all my Christmas present projects. Feels very good indeed! Can do whatever I want now!

:)

Can't believe it's 3 days 'til Christmas...

Below is a LO I did a while ago, have forgotten to show it here. The title says "Happy" and on the right side I have listed what I am happy about and thankful for at the moment! Another LO for my BoM.

Lycklig

My lovely sisters

As I said in an earlier post, my sister has gone back to Sweden, and that made me miss my family a little bit more that usual. So - I just had to create a LO with a photo of me and my sisters. It's from way back when - I think it was 2000 - but I love the photo, and it's a special memory.

Sisters

The papers are from
Paper Pesto's december kit, as you can see you can use them for more than Christmas LO's!!! :) The leaves under all my flowers are cut out on my early Christmas present from my DARLING husband.........................................................my CRICUT!!!! Isn't he just amazing??!?!??!! I guess it's Christmas now, huh - thank you MY LOVE!

On the LO below you can see how I've played with the very cool machine... :) I've also made use of my new Nic Howard stamps. Love them!

hello

Have still got a couple of Christmas presents to create, but I'm almost done... Thanks for looking!!!!

I'm busy!

Yup, there's alot of creating going on in the evenings. Almost every night I'm burning the midnight oil... :) I'm having a good old time though!

:)

Last night I made 8 tags for Meg's mini Christmas challenge over at
SE.  I've got a couple more to make, so that noone in my husband's family will feel left out!

Yesterday I discovered that the LO below had been "published" on the swe scrapbook blog. Very cool... The tile reads "Wonderful and simple, the love for you".

Underbar och enkel

Over at Scraputmaningen, they are having a "Cathy Zielske" week, and I have done two LO's inpired by her style.

The first one says "nap time" and the text on the bottom is a line from a Swedish song. The second one is about my Sweden, what I miss and love about my homeland... :)

tupplur

Cathy lift

Another challenge on Scraputmaningen's blog was to create a LO where only half the page was used, you had to use something with spots, and something "see through". My LO is about my visit to London in 1998! Wow, almost 10 years ago...

London

Well, that's all for today. I have some more stuff actually, but will save it for another day!

Happy scrapping!

Christmas? Really?

No, I don't feel it. Doesn't feel like Christmas at all. I guess the lack of cold weather and dark afternoons does that, and the fact that I have no family here. Not even my sister, she left to go back home yesterday. I feel miserable, can you tell?

Luckily, I can escape to scrapbooking! I've done some stuff, can't show you everything, but some:

First up, my take on the latest dare over at
NZDares:

swewi

Am very happy with this actually! This was the dare:  to scrap a saying which has special meaning in your family; something future generations might look back on & smile about! It could be a quote or saying you use frequently, (or something your mother says which you have found yourself saying now!); or words someone in your family have made up which are repeated and have become a unique part of your family life, even nicknames.

My journalling reads: Since you are half Swedish, half kiwi, we decided you are a "swewi"! It totally makes sense!

I can also show you my take on this weeks sketch over at Veckans Skiss!

Nyfiken

Not as happy with that one... Also the colours look really crap here, they are more "colourful" in real life! The title says something like "curious monkey". She's very curious, my daughter. Dad's gumboot was very interesting that particular day... :)

Will show some more LO's another day, thanks for stopping by!

This and that

Yesterday I dropped off an early Christmas present for my best friend here in NZ. A little minialbum that I started last Saturday during the crop, and that I finished this week. Both my friend and I agreed we couldn't wait 'til Christmas, so she opened it. She seemed to like it... :) The photos are a bit crappy as I had bad light and was in a bit of a hurry when I took them. Never mind... Click on them to make them bigger!

Tonight I finished my LO for this weeks sketch at Veckans Skiss! The title says "cousin" and the journalling is about Tova and her oldest cousin; how they see each other quite often (he works with my husband), but almost never end up in a photo together! Love my new Li'l Davis alphas!

Kusin

I've also got a couple of cards to share.

Bed time now, starting to feel the flu that my man and my girl have had for the last few days...

Thanks for leaving a comment when you visit!!

:)

Not Tova!!!

Would you believe that I have three LO's to show you, and none of them is with Tova in it?

:)

The first one is for the last challenge over at
Scraputmaningen. The challenge was to scrap about your home. Since I have two homes, I scrapped about that! This journey have been going for ten weeks, and I'm proud of myself for sticking to it, even though I never placed in the top ten. I know a few people dropped out, when they lost the chance to win something. I now have ten more LO's that I wouldn't have if I didn't go through with it, and that's awesome!

Scraputmaning 10

The next one is for this weeks sketch challenge over at Veckans Skiss! It was quite a difficult sketch, and my take is not very close to it, but I'm VERY happy with the result. The title says "love", and the journalling is actually a quote from a Swedish song. I saw someone else using the quote on a LO (can't remember who!!!). And isn't this a great photo of my husband? :)

love

The last one is for the Friday night challenge over at SE. The challenge was to use, staples, fabric, some kind of ticket or business card, and to have handwritten journalling. I happened to be the only one submitting something, so I won! Funny that... :) I'm actually quite pleased with the LO, and LOVE the photo! The man himself seemed pretty pleased with it too... :)

new york

Have also been busy making some Christmas presents, but won't show them here yet. Don't wanna spoil the surprises!

Have a great day!

The latest Jack...

...is up @ Jack Me Up! And I'm the guest designer for this month. Very cool!!! This is my contribution:

finally summer

Pop over and have a look, and have a go yourself! :)

I've been cropping tonight, and when I've put the final touches on my projects, I'll share. 'til then!

Three challenge LO's

It's very much Monday in my house today, although sunny, we've had "one of those days"... :)

Anyhoo, below three challenge LO's. The first one is for the 9th (out of 10) challenge over at
Scraputmaningen. No boundaries this time, "free scrapping" so to speak. :) The titel says "in her own thoughts".

Scraputmaning 9

This one is for the weekly sketch over at Veckans Skiss! The title says "Stranded in Taupo"

image345

And the for the Friday night challenge over at SE. The challenge was to use dingbats... I'm not a fan, but this is my result! :)
