My first publication!

I am so excited! Got an email from the UP2Scrap people today, and they have accepted the LO I sent in! It's going to be published in their May issue. I'm stoked!!! YAY!!! Yippeeeeeeeee!!! If I weren't on a diet I would have a glass of bubbly, but I'll just have to toast in sparkling water... :)

Have one LO to show you; my second contribution to SE's Friday night challenge. The title says "the help". Tova loves helping me with the cleaning, but prefers the big broom to the dishbrush. It looks a little bit funny with that big broom... So, the bracket is cut out on my cricut, and I have painted over mesh to "dolly it up" as Megan so funnily called it!

A couple of new ones

I'm in a good spin. I make a lot of stuff, and I end up liking what I've done. Don't you just love that? I can't show you everything I've done, but here's a couple.

This first one is for SE's Friday night challenge. The challenge was to "dolly up your die-cut". :) Cute... I've been wanting to scrap this photo of Kelly - or this occasion rather for a while, and I'm happy that I now have! I cut out the skyline on my cricut, and put yellow and red paper on the back to get the light in the windows. Looks cool I think!!!

The title on the next one says something like "Tova - cutie pie", and I love how it came out. I've had the idea in my head for a while, maybe I've stolen stuff from someone else, but... I like it anyway!

More summery stuff

I have a feeling it's gonna be a few more posts like this - with summery LO's. I hope you Swedes are Ok with that in your wintery life over there!!!

First, my February LO to our kitchen calendar. Just love that photo... :) Also loving the Hambly rub-on birdies!!

Then my take on the Friday Night Challenge over at SE. The challenge was to use the colour combo blue/orange or pink/orange (and other colours of your choice), the title "summer days" and stickers over a year old... I used a very colourful overlay for this one, so the photo is not too good. My sticker is on the right hand corner under the butterfly...

And last but not least, my take on this weeks sketch @ Veckans Skiss! The title reads "One can't always be happy".

It's definitely summer...

It's reeeeeeally hot where I live... Trust me, I'm not complaining, but it's hot. HOT...

:)

I have been doing some scrapping lately, but hardly anything I can share. The theme seem to be the same though - summer! :) The LO below is for the fortnightly sketch challenge over at Scrapbook Essentials. For once I tried to be VERY strict with the sketch, and I'm pretty happy with the result.

It's going to be interesting to fit this page in the album... Oh the problems of a scrabooker... :)

My grandparents

While blog surfing I discovered that my LO was one of the chosen to be "published" - yet again - on the swescrapbook blog. Yay! :) The LO is about my grandparents, 84 years old. :) Another LO for my BoM!

I'm working on a couple of projects that I can't show you yet... A mini-album that's gonna be a gift, a couple of challenge LO's and possibly my first try for a submission. Will see what happens...

Jamie Waters

Yesterday I attended a FABULOUS class with Jamie Waters. It was SO hot in the class room, but I had SO much fun! Managed to finish ALMOST three LO's in two hours, had to do the finish on the third one when I got back home.

As you can see, the style is quite different from what I would normally do, so this was VERY inspiring for me! I also won a book called "Designing with details" from Autumn Leaves where Jamie is part of the DT, and I can tell that's gonna push me in new directions. Very cool!!!

My angel

After getting monthly kits from a couple of NZ companies, I decided to try something else, and found "My Scrapbook Nook". Amazingly enough it took only 3 days for the stuff to get here! The LO below is made by hte yummy stuff from the January kit, I also made a birthday card and have some more LO's sitting on my desk, half done!

The journalling on this one is actually a qoute from the Jimi Hendrix song "Angel".

This is the birthday card.

My ACTUAL first LO of the year was for a challenge over at Scrapaddicted. The challenge was to use the colours soft pink, bright pink, orange and brown.

My girls

I've had a photo in my "I-want-to-scrap-this-photo-sometime-stack" for a long time, and tonight I found a perfect challenge!!! It's the blog Music makes the people come together, and the latest challenge that isnpired me. THe photo is from 2000. Us four girls went to high school together, and this photo was taken on our 10 year reunion! Aren't we gorgeous...

Been croppin'

I'm really tired, but thought I'd share with you the stuff I managed to finish on my 8 hr crop today. I was very un-inspired, but managed to finish one LO, and start another... :) Here is the finished one - about "today", a normal day in my life...

Also made two Valentine's Day cards. One in Swedish and one in English. Sorry about the bad photos, but it's kinda late and I can't be bothered...
